Hello and welcome to Home Sweet Home! This month I have taken some time out to explore the manual dial on my camera.
I have been doing a photo-a-day challenge and trying to come up with interesting pictures where I practice my skills. I am still a little Green to the manual mode but, it is really not that hard and I am having fun exploring. By the end of December I will have it mastered and will be ready for new adventures in January!
Now, I would like to highlight some of the posts that caught my eye last week.
Robin at Happy at Home had a beautifully decorated living room.
Terry at Forever Decorating showed off her hand painted Christmas.
Doreen at Hymns and Verses showed off her beautiful mantel.
Lynn at The Vintage Nest created a Christmas stocking for a very special someone.
Many great links every week! It was really hard to feature a few! Thank you to everyone who joins me at Home Sweet Home! It is wonderful to have you here!

I have always wanted to try a photo a day challange. it's seems like such a fun thing to do. Maybe that will be my new years resolution.
I also wanted to thank you for picking my holiday decorated living room to hightlight. That was very sweet of you and I aprreicate it so very much. Thanks.

Rhonda

Hi Sherry, love the features this week, thank you for hosting. The Nativity Mantel was especially sweet. I am experimenting with the manual on my camera too, but I can see I will need to upgrade if I want to get better results. Its fine for blogging but not so fine for seeing fine detail (like individual hair on my dog). I think that is a goal - fine detail.

You've encouraged me to work on my photography...perhaps later today!
Thanks for hosting, enjoyed the features. Have a great week.

Oh Sherry, I feel so special. Thank you so much for featuring Florence's sweet stocking. She just received it in the mail this week and is absolutely overjoyed. Today I show our decorated home...simple but I love it and hope your readers do too. Enjoy the season. xoxo Lynn
Hi Sherry - hope the manual mode is starting to make more sense now! It takes a lot of trial and error and a lot of shooting to figure it out. It does for me, anyway!

Oops just lost my comment! I am so glad you are getting the hang of your camera. I got one from Hubby for my birthday and it is all so confusing to me. Are you just using the manuel or a tutorial as to how to get the hang of it?
So wanted to get the hang of beautiful pictures so my Christmas pictures would be better this year but it didn't happen for the most part. Still trying though!
Thank you so much for your fun party.

I find it harder ( as in a bazillion times harder : ) to do photography indoors than outdoors! I know I should get a tripod for indoors...:( But your photography is always lovely!
Thanks for hosting Sherry, lovely features.Have a great week.

Hi Sherry, I'm a new follower and my first time joining your party! Hope you can stop by, Laura
Hi Mary Ellen,
I first read about using manual at a few sites. One was Pioneer Woman's explanation. Then after I understood what aperture and shutter speed did, I just started playing and it all seems a lot easier now. Funny thing is, I so wanted to learn manual to make the dreamy over-exposed shots but, now that I know how after two years of trying in auto, I can't bear to distort the photo!
Have a Merry Christmas!
Sherry
Beautiful features! Joining the party :)
